No trip to Bayfield, WI is complete without a crossing of the iconic Iron Bridge. This wrought iron bridge was built by Wausau Iron Works in 1912. The ravine below was once the site of the city cow pound and a ball park. Gilbert Larsen established the nature trail leading up under the bridge in the late 1960s. The bridge was restored in 1988.
