Point Beach State Park is located in the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary, which contains numerous historic shipwrecks that are accessible to the public for viewing. Visitors can kayak or dive to see them, with some wrecks being marked with buoys to help with navigation. Specific wrecks near the park include the Continental, located just north of the nature center, and the Major Anderson, which is often visible on calmer days.
