The Memorial Union is found on the shore of Lake Mendota. It is a multi-use building featuring dining, recreation, arts, and a variety of meeting spaces for UW students, faculty, staff, Wisconsin Union Members and the Madison community. It also features the campus's icon chairs.
Lake Mendota is a 9781 acre lake located in Dane County. It has a maximum depth of 83 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings, public beaches. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Sturgeon and Catfish.
